District Basketball Tournament Always a Winner

North Central Missouri College in Trenton Hosts Tournament

The first weekend in June brings lots of activity to North Central Missouri College when the Lions All-Star Basketball Tournament hits the court at the Ketchem Community Center.  Players from around the district - both boys and girls - arrive on Thursday to practice before the four coaches.  On Friday, the players along with members of the Lions gather for a banquet together and the players learn on which team they will play - purple, gold, black or white.    

Early Saturday morning the tournament begins and the games are non-stop throughout the day.  The winning teams receive medals that are presented by the Lions district officers.  Funds raised from ads in the program book and ticket sales go for scholarships.
