Barrier free playground open to all in Maryville

The Lions of District 26-M4 and Lions Clubs International Foundation Partnered to help build a handicap accessible playground for children at SSM Health St. Francis Preschool and Child Care Center in Maryville, Missouri. The opportunity to help fund and build the playground was brought to 26-M4 by Past International Director (PID) W.R. O'Riley of the Maryville Host Lions Club. Once the grant process was completed and the funds received, members of the Maryville Host and Pride Lions Clubs gathered over the summer months, along with athletes and coaches from the Maryville area to set up the grounds, build, and paint the playground. After the many hours were completed and the playground opened, children can be seen playing and laughing together. The play set and grounds were dedicated on October 4th, 2018.
